I thank you for your excellent presentation on Monday noon to 600 members of The Economic Club of Grand Rapids. As I have known you for years, it was a special honor as the program chair of the Club to introduce you. You gave an outstanding overview of the world and national economies complemented by the action steps businesspeople should take in this environment. I was pleased C-Span videotaped your presentation so thousands of others can benefit from your insights. The compliments since Monday have been overwhelming. At the Club's Executive Committee meeting Tuesday, all were thrilled with this first meeting of our winter season. Last night I had the pleasure of listening to former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in his first speech in the U.S. Before and after this dinner event, several people I did not know came up and thanked me for bringing you to Grand Rapids. In my two years as program chair, I have never had such an enthusiastic and positive response to a speaker. The Economic Club and I thank you for your insightful presentation. WMMA is fortunate to have your services and those of your associates at ITR during these challenging times.
