Derek Stanley

Derek Stanley is a vital member of ITR Economics team of expert economists and consultants. With an extensive background in client communications and wealth management, he lends his expertise to the production of client reports, forecast reviews and research, and frequent communications with clients.

Derek majored in political science, with a minor in economics, at Quinnipiac University, where he also went on to earn his Master of Business Administration. His accomplishments include, but are not limited to, earning leadership roles in several university honor societies, holding securities licenses for portfolio management at prior occupations, and managing and delivering communications such as press releases, speeches, and op-eds on behalf of the Connecticut House of Representatives.

Prior to joining the ITR Economics team, Derek honed his public speaking skills via his aforementioned role at the Connecticut House of Representatives. His consultative experience comes from his eight years in the wealth management space, working as an advisor responsible for managing client portfolios, strategizing financial plans with clients, and conducting in-depth investment research.
